About
Dre Torres: an International Tap Dance Artist, Educator, and award winning Choreographer based in NYC. Torres' highlights include Asst. Tap Choreographer for Broadway's Funny Girl and First National Tour, Broadway Dance Center Tap Faculty, Director and Choreographer for Dre Torres & Friends, Associate Choreographer for Henry and Me, and Choreographer for DanceLabNY's Tap Project. Torres has performed in 2 Bessie Award winning productions, Toured her second tap production in the UK and was recently Honored as Dance Teacher Magazine's Awardee! To name a few, Dre has performed at NYCityCenter, The Joyce, Comedy Central, FOX, BBC, PBS, Harvard, The Edinburgh Fringe Festival, Sadler’s Wells and was a Principal Tap Dancer in Tapestry Dance Company. Dre's contributions to tap dance have garnered features in DanceLife Magazine, Fest Magazine, The New York Times, The Los Angeles Times, Dance Magazine, London Theater Review, and Vida.
